Some Good News

The Treasury Department has backed down on its plans to criminalize editing of manuscripts from embargoed countries. The issue had originally come up with an IEEE manuscript, and the government’s decision “makes clear that scientific communities in sanctioned countries may publish their works in U.S. scholarly journals.” The assumption would be that this applies to fiction as well, but we shall see.
