Sin City Muslims

The L.A. Times has been running a series of articles by Peter H. King (photographs by Genaro Molina) on an unlikely group: Las Vegas Muslims. The articles are the result of one year (April 2003 to April 2004) spent visiting the community’s mosques, homes, workplaces, and social gatherings, and make for absolutely fascinating reading.
Part 1: A Straight Path Through Sin City, about the contradictions of living in Las Vegas.
Part 2: Islam and How to Live It: One Faith, Many Beliefs, about old schisms and new challenges.
Part 3: Still Living in the Shadow of a September Day, chronicles how dealing with hostility is part of life for American Muslims.
