Despite all the coverage of the Orange Prize longlist on all my favorite blogs, I didn’t take a close look at the longlist until now. I was delighted to see that Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s Purple Hibiscus made the cut. (I liked the book quite a bit and hope it gets more attention as a result of this.) Also on the list is The Flood by Maggie Gee, which I’ve been meaning to read.
