Nevertheless he remains a compelling read.The appeal of his politics is I think his very human mix of uncertainty founded on both positive and negative experiences.Seen from U.K. or U.S. there is also our knowledge that we have guaranteed he'll have much more of the same. By contrast what is so scary and unattractive about Bush/Cheney and Blair is their total certainty in their own rightness despite very little evidence that their views derive from any deep understanding of the road they've embarked upon. His contempt for religious zealots blends with his obvious disdain for godless capitalism, but the Communists don't inspire him, either. It's so 21st century, it's wonderful. Thanks for asking.
